Why do calls go to voicemail

If your cell have very intermittent connectivity the cold solder joint that connects the internal antenna really just a small white clad copper wire may have come loose. Is there not a reset button. I finally figured out what was causing my phone to go straight to voicemail. After trying everything on the internet and it not working I found out that the different phone companies have an app that is making the phone go straight to voicemail.

I never set up this app but apparently it comes pre-installed on the phone and there is a section called Block and under that there was a section labeled Unknown Callers and it was set to block. Once I changed that to allow I could receive all my phone calls. That is definitely odd. If you can't find anything in your settings that would send a call straight to voicemail, your iPhone might simply need to be refreshed.

Again, while running an outdated version of iOS doesn't necessarily mean you'll experience this problem, Apple advises that whenever you're having trouble with your device, you should make sure you're fully updated.

If none of the above methods work, it's worth checking in with your cell service provider to see if they're experiencing any system-wide issues. If they are, that might explain why your calls are being sent straight to voicemail. If there aren't any problems, it might be time to contact Apple for further support. For you.
